For the 70th anniversary of the Wishbone Chair, we were asked to devise a special edition colour. Careful to respect and celebrate Hans Wegner’s legacy and cultural roots, we developed a lacquered blue version as a nod to Chinese arts and crafts, which inspired the shape of the chair. Inspired by the dark blue of indigo textiles and blue and white china, the water based high gloss finish references traditional Chinese lacquer.
